Rahul is a  seasoned IP Professional with 10 years of experience working closely with senior litigators on patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation. 

He has advised clients on more than 100 technology cases cumulatively resulting in over $1 billion in settlements and verdicts, including cases where he has testified at deposition or through expert reports.


At Copperpod, Rahul leads the IP consulting practice and provides overall vision for future growth.

​Rahul has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

His opinions on emerging technologies and latest intellectual property trends have previously been featured in Forbes, Inquisitr and IPWatchdog.

Representative Matters:

  • Retained as lead technical consultant for a leading NY-based law firm on 15 patent cases involving Linux OS, CPU power management and embedded systems. Rahul's source code review and infringement analysis helped clients negotiate several out-of-court settlements and further monetize the patent assets.

  • Retained as lead technical consultant for a consortium of leading electronics companies for evaluating infringement in over 200 smartphones and tablets. Rahul led the reverse engineering effort to show infringement, which directly led to a $600 million divestiture of the portfolio.

  • Retained by Blue Spike's outside counsel for mining Blue Spike's patent portfolio for enforceable patents. Rahul and his team identified over 15 potential licensees for the portfolio and helped outside counsel form infringement positions through source code review, product demonstrations and public documentation research.

  • Retained by several NY-based entities on patent monetization campaigns relating to embedded software, telecommunication networks and digital circuits.
