Copperpod welcomes Pankaj Kaushal to the Operations Team
New York, NY: On 20th August, 2021, Copperpod announced that Pankaj Kaushal will be joining the company as an Associate and will be an integral part of the operations team.
Pankaj will be bringing his experience and knowledge in Telecommunications, Network and Data Security and Computer Networks sectors, more specifically in Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor Networks and Image Processing, to Copperpod. During his master’s degree, he prepared a thesis on Path Planning in Mobile Anchor & Static Sensor Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), which not only displays his extensive research skills but also his strong areas of interest.
This thesis explained how bio-inspired algorithms are used to determine the efficient path of the mobile anchor, ACO (ant colony optimization) and Butterfly algorithms are used to govern the beacon's path simultaneously, also the adaption of path according to the data traffic in the path of the beacon by means of some specified stopping points. The simulation was carried out in NS2 (network simulation software) and the final results showed an increase in throughput and network lifetime and decrease in packet loss and energy consumption.
He has also worked on a ‘Real time traffic control system based on image processing’. In this project, images were taken from an empty road and then every image was divided to the lane view which showed the separate view of each lane. The traffic images were then compared with the negative ones by applying specific image aggregation techniques as a result of which the traffic lights would glow accordingly.
Pankaj's educational experience and background:
Masters of Technology in Communication Systems & Networks (ECE Dept.) from National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India
Bachelors of Technology in Electronics and Communications from JN Govt. Engineering College, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India
